Department of Architecture and Building Engineering from Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) and Department of Construction Management (DCM), UTAR will be conducted a cooperative workshop from 28th February – 9th March 2023 (10 days) in UTAR Kampar Campus. This workshop including site measurement and building model making with the use of REVIT software (BIM) lead by students from SIT and the participants from DCM students. The target building for this workshop is Dewan Tun Ling Liong Sik (TLLS) Grand Hall, Kampar Campus. The Dewan TLLS is an imposing structure, a palatial hall built to commemorate the 10th anniversary of UTAR. The grand hall stands apart from the surrounding like a grand dame of a building complex – an inspiration by day and a gleaming beacon by night that makes this workshop to be attractive. This collaboration between both universities will be useful for UTAR Construction Management students and SIT students by exchange their knowledge and ideas from their institute throughout this workshop. Apart from the workshop benefitting students from both universities, the collaborative efforts were also aimed to foster a strong relationship with SIT that both parties believe that it will be feasible for possible future collaborations. The workshop will be accompanied by 2 Japanese professors, Dr.Kanisawa Hirotake and Dr. Shide Kazuya In addition, there have 3 purposes of this program is to strengthen the relationship between both universities: to interact, share and enhance the construction and building
