The Department of Construction Management, Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology, UTAR organized a free webinar entitled, Impacts of Covid-19 on the Construction Industry on 17 July 2020 at 11am to 12.30noon. The total participants for this webinar is around 200 people who are from the industry, lectures, students and public. Topic of this webinar is aligned with the current pandemic situation in Malaysia which is COVID-19 which is affecting the construction industry since March 2020. The speakers shared their experiences and knowledge on the impacts of COVID-19 to their company and how they overcome this pandemic situation. They also shared information related to their safety measures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of their companies in order to follow the rules set by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense Malaysia. It was a fruitful talk and the participants gain knowledge how it feels to work in the construction field especially during the pandemic.
