The Department of Electronics Engineering enthusiastically welcomed both new and returning students to the campus for the new academic session.

In preparation for an upcoming audit by representatives from the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), a comprehensive briefing was conducted for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Electronics Engineering with Honours Programme. The session highlighted the significance of the accreditation process, emphasizing its role in ensuring the programme meets rigorous academic and professional standards. Students were informed about the EAC’s evaluation criteria, the importance of maintaining high-quality education, and how accreditation enhances the programme’s credibility and their future career prospects.
The briefing also covered the roles of professional bodies involved in the accreditation process, such as the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), which oversees the recognition of engineering qualifications.
At the conclusion of the session, Ir. Dr. Yeap facilitated an interactive Q&A segment. He addressed students’ queries regarding the accreditation process, its impact on their studies, and other related topics covered during the briefing.
A total of 112 students participated in the meeting.
The student representatives held a discussion with Dr. Nuraidayani and Dr. Lee YJ regarding issues impacting the department’s students following the meeting.
