Group Visit to the Exhibition of OGA X MOGSEC & PSC 2022

Department of Petrochemical Engineering (PE) had received invitation from the organizer Informa Markets Malaysia to have a group visit to the Exhibition of OGA X MOGSEC & PSC 2022. The events was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and feature over 500 exhibiting companies from over 25 countries including the participation of international industry majors and eight international country pavilions, with an expected 20,000 trade and professional attendees. Organizer would like institution to organise a group tour of the Show to give students a first-hand insight of the oil and gas industry in the region and the opportunity to explore their interest and develop their career building skills in a global industry.
A group visit lead by Ir. Ts. Dr. Toh Pey Yi and Ts. Dr. Teoh Yi Peng was organised on 14 September 2022 Wednesday, which consists of 29 students from Petrochemical Engineering Programme (PE) and Foundation Science Stream Programme (CFS) by bus. The exhibition provided us a solid picture about the oil and gas industry especially the equipment, pipeline, pump, and also personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glove and cloths that displayed. Besides that, some booth also displayed the water treatment equipments and petrochemical products such as the plastic rak, plastic containers, safety glove, and also the polymer coating for pipeline maintenance technology. Students gained lot information and some contact of company from the visit.
