Virtual Meeting with Students

The department hosted a meeting with all undergraduate students taking Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Electronic Engineering Programme and Bachelor of Technology (Honours) in Electronic Systems Programme. 

Dr. Lee Yu Jen shared news on the current university arrangement for studies. Physical tutorial classes and laboratory sessions will resume this semester. Students are requested to follow the arrangement for the sessions strictly. Students can expect physical final examinations this semester as well. To help students prepare for it, mid term tests will be held physically as well. 

Students are encouraged to participate in cocurricular activities. The clubs related to the department are Engineering Society, IEM Student Chapter and UTAR Makers Club. The representatives for the respective clubs, Tay Yong Tang, Soo Shin Phey and Ng Yi Van introduced the clubs to their fellow coursemates. 

Dr. Lee Yu Jen and Ir. Dr. Teh Peh Chiong strongly encouraged the students to participate in competitions. The seniors students of the department achieved respectable positions in competitions they participated in in 2021. Ng Yi Van highlighted the achievement of getting merit prize for their UV Fold invention in the EIC Competition held in Singapore. The university is supportive of such endeavors and students can apply for funding for the competitions by contacting Dr. Lee and Ir. Dr. Teh.
