The UTAR Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Environmental) with Honours is recognised by the following organisation.
STPM with Passes of Grade C in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject (and 4 other subjects including another Mathematics subject)
OR
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject
OR
Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)
OR
Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

1. Malaysian applicants with STPM, UEC and qualifications NOT conducted fully in English language must have a credit in SPM Bahasa Inggeris OR one of the following English Language requirements:

3. Any Malaysian student with STPM, UEC and qualifications NOT conducted fully in English language who is not able to produce the above English Language requirement is required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass at the English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Degree Programme AND must have a pass in English language at SPM / equivalent.
4. Malaysian student is required to study Bahasa Kebangsaan A while International student is required to study Bahasa Kebangsaan B/foreign language.
5. 5. International students must have a minimum of IELTS Band 5.0 / MUET Band 3 / TOEFL 42 / PTE 47 / Linguaskill 154 / equivalent – as per MOE letter dated 9 Dec.2019. NOT applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM / equivalent.
