This programme is devised to equip the students with a sound knowledge of the principles of chemistry, physic, mathematic, green technology and environmental engineering. 



         
   

The UTAR Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Environmental) with Honours is recognised by the following organisation.



  • STPM with Passes of Grade C in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

    OR

    A-Level Passes of minimum Grade D in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

    OR

    South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

    OR

    Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject (and 4 other subjects including another Mathematics subject)

    OR

    Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and 1 relevant Natural Science subject

    OR

    Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

    OR

    Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning in the relevant field

    OR

    Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education 

    OR

    Dilpoma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) in the relevant field

    OR

    Diploma from other Institution of Higher Learning in the relevant field

    OR

    Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government

  • 1. Malaysian applicants with STPM, UEC and qualifications NOT conducted fully in English language must have a credit in SPM Bahasa Inggeris OR one of the following English Language requirements:

MUET- Band 3 , IELTS- Band 5.0 ,TOEFL (internet-based testing)- Score of 42 ,Pearson Test of English (PTE)- Score of 47 ,English 1119 / GCE O-Level- Grade 6C / Grade C ,UEC Bahasa Inggeris- Grade B ,Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests (including Linguaskill)- 154,Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)- B1

    3. Any Malaysian student with STPM, UEC and qualifications NOT conducted fully in English language who is not able to produce the above English Language requirement is required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass at the English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Degree Programme AND must have a pass in English language at SPM / equivalent.

    4. Malaysian student is required to study Bahasa Kebangsaan A while International student is required to study Bahasa Kebangsaan B/foreign language.

    5. 5. International students must have a minimum of IELTS Band 5.0 / MUET Band 3 / TOEFL 42 / PTE 47 / Linguaskill 154 / equivalent – as per MOE letter dated 9 Dec.2019. NOT applicable for qualifications conducted fully in English language BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM / equivalent.

  • The Programme Outcomes refer to the attributes that students should possess at the point of their graduation. These programme outcomes are as follows:

    Apply fundamental knowledge of science, engineering and mathematics appropriate to the discipline.
    PO2Apply first principles of mathematics, natural and engineering sciences to evaluate complex engineering problems.
    PO3Devise solutions for complex engineering problems by taking into consideration cost-effectiveness and specific concerns for public health, safety and environment
