Technical Webinar: “Designing Tomorrow: Analog CMOS in the Age of Emerging Technologies”

The department was honored to host Dr. Kishore Kumar Pakkirisami, a Senior Engineer from Nexperia, who conducted a webinar titled “Designing Tomorrow: Analog CMOS in the Age of Emerging Technologies”.




Dr. Kishore Kumar Pakkirisami Churchill holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2010) and a Masters in Engineering Degree in VLSI design (2012) from Anna University, Chennai, India. In 2023, he successfully completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His research interests span a wide spectrum, including micro energy harvesting, analog/RF integrated circuit design, VLSI system design, power management ICs, and wireless sensor networks (WSN), reflecting his dedication to advancing technologies in energy efficiency, integrated circuit design, and wireless communication systems.

 

Dr. Kishore provided an insightful overview of Nexperia, a leading semiconductor manufacturer renowned for its innovative solutions in discrete, logic, and MOSFET devices, with a rich heritage spanning over 60 years. Nexperia’s commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products has solidified its position as a trusted partner in the electronics industry, offering efficient, cost-effective solutions across automotive, industrial, consumer, and computing sectors.




During the webinar, Dr. Kishore also covered the basics of VLSI Design and Analogue CMOS IC Design, demonstrating the design of a CMOS compound gate and highlighting applications like the RF Energy Harvester that necessitate solutions developed with IC Design.






The session drew the participation of 28 students.
