CHEMICAL COMPANY OF MALAYSIA BERHAD 

Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM) is a leading manufacturer of chlor-alkali and polymer chemicals in the country. 

CCM started in 1930 as a subsidiary of ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries, a British chemical company) and over the years, has strengthened its core business of industrial chemical manufacturing. 

CCM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Batu Kawan Berhad (BKB) – an investment holding company listed on Bursa Malaysia and sits under BKB’s Industrial Chemicals division, along with two other chemical manufacturers, namely Malay-Sino Chemical Industries Sdn Bhd (Malay- Sino) and See Sen Chemical Berhad (See Sen). Broadly, CCM and Malay-Sino are the largest chlor-alkali manufacturer in Malaysia whereas See Sen is a manufacturer of sulphur-derivative products.

The chemicals serve a broad range of industries, including soap & detergent, oleochemical, petrochemical, water treatment, pulp & paper, electronics, rubber gloves, alumina, and chemical industries. 

The Industrial Chemicals division currently employs over 800 employees and serves 10 operating sites across Peninsular Malaysia.
